I BEGAN RAISING GUPPIES IN THE 1950’s.

Trying to keep the males and females separate required many containers. I used many glass jars, various cooking utensils and household dishes. It soon became more work then what spare time I had for taking care of them.

I tried some other tropical fish, as the novelty of them was quite fascinating. I did not have any regular aquarium tanks until 1970. Tropical fish have been allotted space in addition to my knitting, sewing, ceramic, painting, weaving and spinning areas.

I also have much space allotted to animals as I live in the country and am an old time country girl at heart.
